Roberto’s NYC headshots

Okay okay, I’ve been gone for some time. I’ve been bad about posting and I’m sorry about that. But the great news is that I’ve been shooting again and I have lots to post! I was hired to photograph an event in NYC this month. I decided to make the most of my slower season, so I took a 3 week trip surrounding the gig I booked. It was an experience of a lifetime. I’m fortunate that my best friends currently live in New York City so I had a place to stay, the great company and lots of (free) advice on great places to go and fun things to do. It was a trip I will remember forever. I saw and did SO much. Some of my favorite experiences were seeing David Letterman live, going to the UCB and the Comedy Cellar and flying in a teeny tiny 4 person plane over Manhattan with my best friends. I’ve been home for over a week and I’m still not sure how to sum up the trip when people ask. I have too many memories to fit into a short summary. All I can say is, “it was amazing.”

While on the trip I met some phenomenal people. The gig I was working introduced me to a group of positive, professional, forward-thinking, successful people. One of my favorite new friends is Roberto. We hit it off immediately, and yes he is as sweet and friendly as he looks in these photos. His smile and laughter is contagious. He mentioned needing a few new head shots and we found time on our last day together to roam Times Square and Bryant Park to snag a few portraits. A truly inspirational story behind this sweet smile is knowing Roberto’s success with losing over 140 pounds in the past 2 years. Amazing, right? He put his mind (and body) to it and has shed over half his body weight. Doesn’t he look amazing? I was so thankful to hear some of his stories. I hope to see him again soon. Roberto, thank you for your new friendship!
