What a wedding. Visually, the day was stunning. The colors, the textures, the estate, the details, the mini!! I could go on and on. It was hard to narrow down the right photos to post. Add in a sweet, happy, loving couple and voila! An unforgettable day to share with all of you. The day started off in Portland at the Hotel Deluxe. After an emotional first sight with the bride and groom, we headed off to take photos all over. We photographed in the city, then at the NW industrial areas before heading to the wedding location – Duckridge Farms Estate. The home and the property surrounding it was designed by a family member of the groom. To put it simply, it was picturesque. Every nook and cranny was perfectly designed, maintained and groomed. It was breathtaking. I feel so privileged to have been able to document a wedding there. The ceremony was held out in the back of the home on a the main lawn. There was a light cloud cover for all the posed portraits and then the sun came bursting out just in time for the ceremony. After the warm, heart-felt toasts, some great food, the cake cutting and a first dance, the party continued long into the evening. They were surrounded with the love and support of all their friends and family. They have truly wonderful people all around them, which says volumes about who Jen and Ryan are as people. Not only was everyone there to celebrate their union, but they were also there to say their farewells. These newlyweds were packed and moving to Germany the week of their wedding! I couldn’t believe how calm, happy and collected they were. A wedding combined with moving your lives to another country? Now that is a quite the undertaking! They did it well. The wedding went off without a hitch and they left the country with a great party behind them! Congrats Jen and Ryan, you are almost too perfect together.
