I want to marry Saint Cupcake. They are the bestest treat shop ever. Not only do they make fantastic cupcakes, but they make pretty much every tasty treat you can think of, and then some. Things like brownies, brioche, scones, cinnamon rolls and cookies are just a few more of their delicious goodies. It’s worth stopping in their shop if you’re in Portland, but you can soon order from anywhere! They are re-launching their online store with tons of tasty treats including (but not limited to) cookies, granola and even hot chocolate mix to name a few. We had the privilege of filling our office to the brim with treats and getting to photograph them one by one the other week. Thankfully we are allowed to nibble on crumbs and enjoy the vibrant results of the shoot. Life is pretty sweet. (get it, ha! I’m punny) Also, a special thank you goes out to Stephanie of Noun: A Person’s Place for Things, for letting us use some items from her store in the shoot.

It was a fun afternoon. The weather cooperated and we had all kinds of beautiful coast scenery to play around in. From the (always) gorgeous Canon Beach to the long grass and rocky cliffs down near Manzanita, we had nothing but eye candy to work with. Danielle and Davis are fun and playful and they made the trip more than a photo shoot, it was a nice break for Brian and I to get out and enjoy the day away from our computers. Weddings have started up, we have some traveling to do and lots of extra photo shoots happening. Loving it! Here are photos from a trash the dress shoot I did with Laurel and hey now hubby Matt a couple weeks ago. We wandered around some grungy, dirty, icky spots I would never take a bride and groom on their actual wedding day. I was also able to pose Laurel in way more playful and interesting ways because she has no more use for her [stunning] gown. Laurel and Matt are fantastic, it was fun to catch up and work with them again. Loving the results.

We are wrapping up the last few 2012 engagement shoots before the weddings start up again (starting this weekend!!!) Crazy, right? I did this engagement shoot last weekend on Saturday evening. I met up with Shawn and Thu in the Oregon countryside down where Shawn grew up in the Silverton and Mt Angel area. I was so thankful that Shawn already knew all the best spots. A covered bridge, a busted up barn, sheep and chickens, the Oregon Garden, and so on. Every location was very stunning in the setting sun. They are an extremely sweet and funny couple. They have both felt like instant friends since the second I met them. Can’t wait to shoot their wedding in August!
