Kat and Quoc are as playful, fun and light hearted as they look in these photos. We never got to do an engagement shoot with them before their wedding last month, but even without that foundation, they became instant friends to us. They welcomed us into their lives with open arms. Brian and I had an awesome time photographing their wedding! We took photos in and around downtown Portland where they held their ceremony. After wards, we all walked to the Portland Art Museum where the reception took place. I had never shot inside the art museum and I was quite impressed with the ballrooms they have! Really elegant venues. I have to give a shout out to Quoc’s sister Tina Du who baked and decorated all 500 cupcakes for their reception. They were beyond delicious, the one that stole the show was the chocolate cupcakes made with Black Butte Porter. OH MAN! Sooooo good! Not only was the couple fun, but we got to work with some of our favorite vendors including Nicole Wagner and Ryan Cheney from Focal Point. Check out vendors links at the bottom of the post.
I had Kat and Quoc make a funny face on the count of three without knowing what the other one was doing. I thought these turned out pretty cute.
This was a shot from a quick walk to see her groom for the first time that day. I LOVED Kat’s bubby personality, she was smiles all day!

There were some tears shed, but Quoc had his groomsmen prepared with tissue. He just had to snap his fingers and they were ready to go.
